Lever 2000 Perfectly Fresh Soap

Lever 2000 Perfectly Fresh Scent soap is one of my favorite brands of deodorant bar soap. This product does not strip the oil out of your skin. There are other deodorant soaps, such as Ivory, Coast, and Irish Spring which leave my skin with a white residue and feeling tight after use. Not Lever 2000. It is tough on dirt but gentle on skin. Lever 2000 removes dirt and all that other good stuff without making your skin feel greasy or slimy.


The scents are pretty nice, too. I would describe them as unisex and universal scents for anybody, of any age. In fact, my little nephew loves it. Lever 2000 bar soap deodorizes your body, leaving you smelling so fresh and so clean for hours. The scents available are the original Perfectly Fresh, Citrus-Fresh, and Aloe Fresh.

They come in white, 4 oz. bars. One bar lasts me about five days and I normally bathe twice a day. After soaping your wash rag, you can work up a good amount of lather with Lever 2000 bar soap. It does not melt away like other expensive, luxury brands. It is very reasonably priced, so it is a good value for the money spent.

It contains a hint of Vaseline (petrolatum), glycerin, and lipids to moisturize the skin. Lever 2000 also contains the following ingredients:

Sodium Tallowate, Sodium Cocoate, Water, Stearic Acid, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Chloride, Fragrance (Parfum), Sodium Methyl 2 Sulfolaurate, Petrolatum, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Mineral Oil (Paraffinum Liquidum), Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil (Sunflower), Glycerin, Coconut Acid, Sodium Stearate, Sodium Sulfate (CI 77891), Disodium 2 Sulfolaurate, Tetrasodium EDTA, Tetrasodium Etidronate, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891)

My only complaint with this product is that since I have fairly sensitive skin, I can’t use Lever 2000 bar soap for long stretches of time. After about a week or so, the soap becomes a little irritating to the genitals and sometimes makes my skin itchy. So, I limit my use of Lever 2000 bar soap to times when I am running short on cash. Otherwise, I purchase Olay or Dove beauty bars and body washes. That’s just my experience, though. Lever 2000 bar soap may or may not have the same effect on you.


Another thing is that this product contains petrolatum, which can aggravate acne-prone skin. Therefore, this is not a soap that I would use on my face, since I get occasional acne breakouts. I still feel that it is a good product. If you are a no-frills sort of person, that does not require extras or luxuries, then this might be a soap for you.  This products  gives customers their money’s worth.
