CVS haul, Eucerin Hand lotion |
This is a summary of another CVS shopping trip. This haul didn’t go exactly as I had planned the first time around.* So, I had to make a second trip to another CVS/pharmacy in order to complete the deal. There was one sale that I took advantage of in this haul. It was “Spend $20 or more on ANY Aquaphor or Eucerin products, and get $10 in Extrabucks”. By the way, these deals are not currently in effect. The sale ran from Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012 thru Wednesday, October 31, 2012.
I used 2 manufacturer coupons, 1 CVS Beauty Club reward and 1 CVS Extrabucks rewards.
The breakdown of the transaction follows:
1 Eucerin Original Healing Soothing Repair Crème 2 oz. $5.49
1 Eucerin Original Healing Soothing Repair Crème 2 oz. $5.49
1 Eucerin Original Healing Soothing Repair Crème 2 oz. $5.49
1 Eucerin Intensive Repair Extra-Enriched Hand Crème 2.7 oz $5.99
Sales tax $1.05
Subtotal (before coupons, etc.) $23.51
I applied the following coupons and discounts to the balance:
1- manufacturer coupon for Eucerin product -$1.50
1- manufacturer coupon for Eucerin product -$1.50
1- $5.00 Beauty Club reward -$5.00
1- $10.00 Extrabucks reward -$10.00
Total and price paid (after coupons, etc.) $5.51
I paid $5.51 out of pocket and also earned $10.00 in Extrabucks rewards. So, it’s like I paid nothing, while making $4.49. Wonderful!!!
*I tried this haul at another CVS before I was able to complete it successfully. The first time that I tried it, there were no bar codes on any of the lotions that I picked out. There were
“Not for individual resale” labels on the packaging, which I thought was strange. The cashier asked me if I took them from a box and I told her that I got them off the shelf. She called over a woman that I assumed was a supervisor for advice on how to handle the situation. The woman didn’t say a word to me or the cashier and walked away from the register. Neither me or the cashier had no clue whether she would attempt to help resolve the issue. At the very least, this was rude and very poor customer service. I waited for a few minutes to see if the “supervisor” would return to help. She didn’t come back to the register, so I left the merchandise on the counter and walked out of the store. I decided to go to another CVS store that had it together.
